Proms today are much different than they used to be: girls spend a small fortune on dresses, guys make their costumes to order for the big event, and some even arrive in limousines paid for by proud parents.

All the participants are great, so to stand out you have to do something completely different, something that no one will forget. Megan Flaherty, now a college student in New Jersey, wanted to make sure she didn’t forget her classmates, so she grew up.

Meghan and her partner arrived at the prom with the help of friends and family to make their voices heard. Plus, the girl raised the bar by agreeing to be placed in an open casket!

Why would a teenager choose such a thing? Megan is a quiet girl with very meticulous plans, she wants to be a funeral director when she graduates. Her classmates were shocked when she arrived, they had not expected to see something like this at the prom.

Unlike most bodies, Megan kept her eyes wide open when she was taken from the heart: She was curious how her classmates would react and didn’t want to risk not seeing their faces, so the girl: They just didn’t get it what they saw!

After coming out of the coffin, the prom went off as normal. Although getting to the prom in a coffin is certainly not for everyone, you have to admit that she showed great creativity and courage.
