This spring marked a big milestone when “ambassa-dog” Beyonce turned two years old. She held the previous record as the world’s smallest dog and was born at just one ounce, roughly the weight of a large coin. Beyonce, much like her namesake, seems born for the spotlight and currently uses her tiny charms to raise awareness for the prevention of euthanasia for the three million healthy dogs and cats in the shelter system every year. Beyonce is still quite small, although she’s now reached a whopping three-pound body weight.
