Let us admit it; many people are afraid of snakes. We have not mastered the art of relating to the cold-blooded reptiles that send shivers down our spines. However, some people are fascinated by the slinky reptiles.
Rodney Kelso was working on a highway in Arkansas when he spotted a timber rattle snake. The snake was 11 inches long and was close to two others. Upon taking a closer look, Rodney discovered a unique aspect about the snake.
The snake has two heads!
An education specialist, Cody Walker, says that the two heads-snakes have a shorter life span. Having two brains is a disadvantage since the snakes cannot react fast enough in the face of danger. While one brain makes decisions, the other does something very different.
The two-headed timber rattle snake has found a new home at the Nature Center.
