Two teenage boys were hiking through the woods in the Dundas Conservation Area near Toronto when they saw something strange. A baby deer was alone and stuck in the rising water of a branch of the river. Without these two acting fast, the poor fawn would have drowned for sure.

It’s amazing how the deer is so willing to let the young boy pick her up. Many animals would be panicked in a situation like this, but I think she knew he was there to help. As soon as he let her down, though, she took off for safety. I hope she found her mom!
