Two men were fishing for ice in Utah when they saw a young deer stranded in the middle of a frozen lake.

The fawn appears to have slipped on the ice and was unable to get back on its feet. The poor animal seemed exhausted from slipping and slipping until its legs collapsed and could no longer lift itself from its stomach.

I looked over there and fixed my eyes and said, ‘Dude, this is a gazelle! “Of course we have to go to save her!” Fireman, hunter and hunter Branson Jackson told his local news channel.

“We were just starting to slowly make our way there, and at some point my friend’s shoes actually had an ice break. So it was really thin, but I said, ‘We can’t let this deer sit there.'”

Fearing the deer “punched and kicked” but not knowing what to do, Jackson carried him in his arms as a baby.

“It was very calm, docile, like it was a concept. Well, these people would try to help me.”

When the ice began to crack under the combined weight of Jackson and the deer, “he hurried, went ashore, and hoped for the best.”

They were both lucky, they survived unscathed. As you can see in the video below, the deer looks happy (although it’s likely painful and still a bit shaky) to return to the dry ground as it flies away:
