The street dog raised in the market had to be rescued after being neutered by someone, but that was bad. Love Furry Friends was informed that “Rosy” was in poor health. Rosie grew up in a market in a Ukrainian city since she was a child and was looked after by several shopkeepers. But when rescuers found her, they could see that her stomach was swollen and her ear tag (which indicates she was being neutered) was not properly positioned and had become infected.
There are tens of thousands of stray dogs in Ukrainian cities. Most often, it is public utility companies that vaccinate and sterilize dogs in coordination with local governments. Many dogs are brought in to kill shelters. So Rosie was really lucky that people were looking for her in the market.
But when she was taken to a vet, they told rescuers that Rosie had not been properly spayed and that she needed a second operation. Luckily I made it through and after a week Rosie’s wound looked much better and her ear was healing well.
Now this lovely dog is looking for a forever home. She is very well socialized as she grew up in the market. She loves people, dogs and other animals. If you’re interested in adopting Rosy, email: lovefurryfriends1 (at) gmail (dot) com
