It is often a stressful experience to move into a new home. Almost everything about moving is exhausting and never enjoyable. It might be difficult to pack away memories from a location you’ve called home. When my mother, brother, and I moved into the house where I spent the latter part of my childhood and all of my adolescence, I was understandably emotional. I didn’t want to say goodbye to anything that was familiar in my life. However, life goes on, and we must learn to adapt to the changes that come with it. This young man was embarking on the scary journey of first-time house ownership, something I find terrifying even at my age. But the moment had come, and he had located a house that met his needs and desires at a reasonable price. What he didn’t expect to find as he started settling in was what he found inside his new home. Scroll down to see what one guy discovered that left him speechless!
This house was purchased for a very low price by the new owner. The prior owner was no longer alive.
When he initially saw the house, the cellar was crammed with rubbish. Nothing had been moved out by the previous owner. So, once the majority of the random trash was removed from the basement, this is how it looked.
The new owner spotted something strange while cleaning out the basement. A unusually shaped piece of plywood that fit into the wall. He made the decision to look into the weird piece of wood further. It wouldn’t budge when he tried to move it.
He finally got the piece of wood to break away from the stairwell and the wall after considerable prying. What he witnessed astounded and even terrified him.
A little room, measuring 4 by 4, was hidden behind the wall. Many gun boxes, military ammo crates, and a large grey metal container were found inside. There was also a massive safe inside.
This is the 200-pound safe that was discovered inside the chamber by the finder!
Inside the area, there were weapons boxes packed to the ceiling.
To give a size comparison, the homeowner held his palm up to the safe. This isn’t a tiny piggy bank, as you can see.
These are the kinds of crates we used to store ammunition in the military. However, who knows what the prior owner had in them.
More ammunition was hidden inside a wooden crate on top of the metal canisters.
Ammo for a 20 gauge shotgun.
The homeowner discovered a couple of additional gun-related items after examining the actual basement a little more.
This is an astonishing amount of items to find in a newly purchased home. The fact that it was discovered in a concealed area adds to the unbelievable nature of the narrative. The majority of the crates did not contain any weaponry, which detracts from the find. However, there was a lot of ammo in this hidden basement area. The ammunition might be sold for a good profit by the homeowner. I’m going to keep a close eye on what happens when he opens the safe!
