He may be gone to be with the maker, but Jerry Lewis will forever remain in our hearts. This great entertainer completely changed the way the entertainment industry works.
Jerry left school when he was just 15 to pursue his passion and make a career out of entertainment. He had a rough start, once working as a usher at a theatre. But having being born into a family of entertainers with Rae and Danny Lewis as parents, Jerry had it in him to shine, and his opportunity came when he first performed at Brown’s Hotel based in Lock Sheldrake, New York. His debut earned him more fame and he soon found himself partnering with Dean Martin for a radio show. They even featured together on 16 films. In 1977, Jerry was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. You can say that this is a man who has lived his life to the fullest.
Jerry passed away on August 20, 2017 at the age of 91. He will be missed.
